New Zealand (part 3)

Sadly... this is where my NZ journey ends. Part 3 of New Zealand includes places such as: Arrowtown, Queenstown, Walter Peak, Milford Sound and Kawarau Gorge. Previous parts: part 1part 2.

DAY 8

Arrowtown
It's a short street walk with olden days buildings. Personally, I find that there's nothing much to do here except taking pictures of the buildings.

DAY 9

Queenstown

Fergburger. One of Queenstown's famous burger shop.

DAY 10

Walter Peak
Walter Peak is famous for it's steamship. The steamship will bring you across Lake Wakatipu and back to the starting point. You can also choose to have BBQ lunch/dinner or a farm tour aftercrossing over the lake.

DAY 11

Milford Sound
You can take a cruise here and it will bring you around the fiord which is surrounded by steep cliffs, rainforests and waterfalls. The cruise will bring you up close to some waterfalls which are quite fun to be under it.

Do remember to fill in your petrol at Te Anau as there is no petrol station in Milford Sound area (well there's 1 called emergency fuel but it's gonna cost you much more $$ than normal fuel).

These are seals on top of the rock!!

DAY 12

Kawarau Gorge
Upon hearing the name, the first thing that will pop out in your head is the
43m leap from the Kawarau Bridge!

They also offer zipride!

Extras:

1. Lupin flowers
Unfortunately when I was there (late Feb), the season for Lupin flowers was almost ending; therefore explains the flowers taken in the picture below isn't the best. Best time to spot them is during Dec and Jan.

2. flowers by the roadside

3. stars
New Zealand is also one of the best place for stargazing. I stayed around Tarras area and by just looking up, there will be thousands of stars shining in the night sky.

I do not have the perfect lens to take the stars... so this is the best I could do. But I guarantee you, it's more than this picture.

Sooo... this is the end of my itinerary. It's nothing much but I hope it helps you to plan for your future trip to New Zealand! Kia Ora!
